My BIGGEST Fear...

is roaches. I can't even type the word without cringing. I am determined not to let any other creatures into my home, but since I'm watching my spending, I go for natural, cheap remedies. So Borax it is. This stuff is MAYBE $3 a box and can clean your home, get stains out of your home, and kill ants and roaches. So what did I do? I mixed flour, Borax and cocoa powder. The cocoa powder is the bait. It's sweet and they want to eat it. The Borax is deadly to them. Roaches can go without food for a while, but not water. Borax kills them via dehydration. I don't know how long it takes, but I don't care as long as they're dead. The flour? I have no idea, but online recipes told me to do it.

Tonight's adventure? I decide at 10 pm it's time to wage war. I don't have a problem, but I'm all about prevention. So I mix up up the goods, already available in my home, throw in a little water, form them into small balls (hehe) and head outside. I threw them towards trees, stuck a couple to the side of my house and into the flower garden that needs to die anyway. But, alas, I need more! So I go inside and on my trip outside...THREE MONSTERS WERE LOOKING FOR THAT SWEET SMELL OF DEATH! Naturally I screamed like the baby I am and ran inside. I yelled for Chris only to find him looking a big freaking roach in the eye in his office. He's obviously not afraid. I like that. As long as he doesn't chase me with it. Not only does he just stare at it, but out kitty cat Roxy takes off with it in her mouth! Needless to say, I baracaded myself in my room, Chris grabbed the cat and killed the MONSTER. Now I'm wondering if I'll be able to sleep. Fir the first time in my life, I may sleep with the lights ON.
